NEW YORK — New York Power has announced that it has shut down all power distribution lines in the state, causing widespread power outages.
Power outages were reported in New York City, Rochester, Brooklyn, Syracuse, Buffalo, Syracuse and New York, according to the company.
Power was also reported in Boston, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New Orleans, Houston and Nashville.
